If you don’t have a strong hand you should fold and if you do have the cards then most Omaha Hi Lo strategies will tell you to bet. Specific for Omaha Hi Lo poker online is that your hand most likely won’t change all that much at this stage of the game. An essential Omaha 8 strategy is to recognize when you have a weak hand early on and get out quickly. The game favors the highest value hands so if the flop offers you little, it’s time to fold. Betting on average hands is a flawed Omaha Eight or Better strategy that will quickly end your game. I am no expert by any means in Hi-Lo but am more aggressive playing for the Lo pot, if I see a possibility of winning both pots. If I have the patience and discipline to reach my set goal that constantly changes, which hopefully will be for the win at the end of a long tourney.
